Sean Smullen, M.D. graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine with high honors. He received his specialty training at the University of Pennsylvania and then completed a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery fellowship. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery as well as the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Smullen has a special interest in rhinoplasty, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, sinus and allergic disorders, and pediatric otolaryngology. Stephen Mass, M.D. graduated magna cum laude from Vanderbilt University. He received his degree in medicine from Duke University Medical School and completed his training in Otolaryngology at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Mass has a special interest head and neck cancer, sinus surgery, and pediatric surgery. Richard M. Herman, M.D. graduated from Temple University School of Medicine with high honors and received his specialty training at Temple University Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery. He has a special interest in sinus surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, voice disorders, and sleep apnea. Sonya J. Wexler M.D. received her medical degree from George Washington University, and completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery from Temple University Hospital. In addition, she holds a Masters Degree in Biophysics from Georgetown University. She has conducted research at the University of Pennsylvania, presented at several academic meetings and is extensively published. A former competitive figure skater, Dr Wexler is married with two children. She also has intermediate fluency in Spanish. She brings her energy and enthusiasm in treating all aspects of our speciality of Ear, Nose and Throat, with a particular interest in Otology-diseases of the ear.


Audiologists

Julie M. Roper, M.A., C.C.C.-A. Julie graduated with a B.S. degree in Communicative Disorders from Penn State University and obtained her Master's degree in Audiology from Temple University. Julie's area of interest are hearing aids and diagnostic audiology. She is located in our Doylestown office.


Tina D. Rice, Au.D., C.C.C.-A. Tina graduated with a B.S. degree in Communicative Disorders from University of Wisconsin-Steven’s Point. She obtained her Master’s degree in Audiology from The University of Kansas Medical Center and her Doctorate degree in Audiology from PCO School of Audiology. Her specialties are hearing aids, diagnostic and vestibular assessment. Tina works out of our Lansdale office.


Melinda J. Scholl, M.A., C.C.C.-A Melinda graduated with a B.S. degree in Communicative Disorders from West Chester University and obtained her Master’s degree in Audiology from The College of New Jersey. Melinda concentrates on diagnostic audiology and hearing aids in our Lansdale office.


Rian A. Shapiro, AuD., C.C.C.-A. Rian graduated with a B.S. degree in Communication Disorders from Penn State University and obtained her Master’s degree in Audiology from CUNY, Hunter College. She has her Doctorate degree in Audiology from Salus University. She is a full time audiologist in the Sellersville and Doylestown offices focusing on hearing aids and diagnostic audiology. In addition, she sees patients for vestibular assessment.


Mary B. Gracey, C.C.C.-A. Mary graduated with a B.A. degree in Spanish and Communication from the University of Delaware. She obtained her Master's degree in Audiology and Hearing Impairment from Northwestern University. Mary has a special interest in vestibular balance testing.


Gale M. Schwartz, M.S., C.C.C.-A. Gale graduated with a B.S degree in Speech Pathology/Audiology from The George Washington University. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Audiology from Teacher's College, Columbia University. Gale is interested in diagnostic audiology and audiologic rehabilitation.
